Holiday Charity Knitting

Here are couple of hats knit from scraps which I'm sending to the RAD BAD Beanies Project---this group is collecting totally rad handmade hats for urban teens. The beanies go to Big City Mountineers, a non-profit whose mission is to provide urban teens in need of positive adult mentoring with challenging and safe wilderness experiences.

As a teen growing up in Alaska my numerous wilderness experiences certainly shaped my life and so I can understand how taking inner city teens into the wilderness can be a life changing experience. If you area knitter who likes to knit hats--do please consider knitting one or two hats for this nonprofit---or donating yarn or even $ to them.
