The Alameda Flea Market (aka as The Alameda Point Antiques and Collectibles Faire) made for a fun and very creatively stimulating walk yesterday---here is some eye candy from my stroll with a friend around this venerable antique flea market located on an old defunct naval base in Alameda, California.

this all hand sewn quilt had tiny tiny--less than an inch each! hexagons....and it was a big quilt....

I love these things. I mean the owl hairspray covers are a hoot. I know, I couldn't resist. I don't even like chickens and I liked yours. The crackle glass and the baked enamel or plastic flowers are great as are the bracelets and other jewelry. Thanks so much for sharing them. What a fun trip!

Oh my, I certainly remember those flower pins. I bought two for my mother who had to wear plain navy blue or black dresses to work. They gave her a little bit of brightness. Thanks for the memory.
