Ok--so older daughter decides she wants to make quilt for younger sister for her 25th birthday! But older daughter has never made a quilt--so she enlists Mom's help....but, of course, Mom is no expert! ;-)
so she also enlists the help of some expert quilter friends to sew about 1/2 the squares! (good move)
and older daughter does pick a fairly difficult pinwheel pattern--with alot of small triangles ! this was a big hush-hush surprise for her sister--so after several trips back and forth between Portland & Berkeley--first to shop for fabrics (what fun!), then to cut out pieces, then to sew...we finished the quilt! so here it is....

Hey mom...thanks for not pointing out the sweat shop that i made you sew in for 3 days or the fact that I did it during grad school---I am soooo crazy!
