It’s the Pay It Forward Exchange.
This exchange---which is going around the net craft blogs right now--- is based on the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return,---just passing the kindness on---with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness pass on their own act of kindness. Thus starts a "PIF"... which continues on...and on..and on...
You all know I’m already a PIF type of person. So here’s how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that’s a promise! What YOU--the recipient--- have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
I loved the movie "Pay it Forward" when I first saw it, and so when I saw this PIF exchange idea on the blog Cotton Spice---I decided to begin this exchange.
I think this is perfect for the holidaze--since the holiday elves have invaded our home once again (they arrive every year about now) and I am commencing to make gifts (with the elves help).

I love the "PIF" idea, I just wanted to let you know its a great idea and a wonderful thing you are starting, I don't have a blog so can't participate.
I like doing this all the time too, but, not sure I want to do it in a more 'formal' (?) way. I love the movie and believe that giving of self is the most important thing I give. It is difficult for me, but I do it and am always very blessed for doing it. This is a super idea though, let me think.
love it!!!
I've done this for a long time because I had an aunt and uncle who did so much for me and I knew I could never repay them in kind. Then I read that you can never truly repay someone for something they did for you -- all you can do is do something for someone else -- whatever it is that they need at the time. I also loved the movie.
