The tiny town of Port Alexander, Alaska always celebrates the 4th of July in style: a parade down the boardwalk, games (including a prize for whoever finds the very biggest skunk cabbage leaf), a flotilla on the bay, a delicious community potluck around a fire on the beach, and then a few rounds of horse shoes....and it is sunny (or it was today--it even felt hot in the sun!!!)
So, let the celebrations begin!
